Ostuni 2018
Casa AV is located in Ostuni, amidst the open countryside and ancient olive trees. The plot sits atop a hill, offering an extraordinary panoramic view. The house, spanning approximately 250 square meters, comprises a spacious living area, a kitchen, and four bedrooms with bathrooms.
The uniqueness of the house lies in its integration within the plot. A narrow yet clever design interconnects the house, the pool, and various pathways that link different areas. Being a summer vacation home, Casa AV boasts ample outdoor spaces for gathering with friends. An expansive dining area, featuring a resin table crafted by local artisans, is nestled among the ancient olive trees and shaded by a fabric sail, providing additional shade.
The infinity pool overlooks a breathtaking panorama, and along its edges, several shaded areas are adorned with sun loungers. The pool area is paved with Puglia stone, which is non-slip, compact, and displays changing chromatic effects throughout the day.
For the interior furnishings, the kitchen, and bathroom fixtures, olive wood has been utilized, invoking a millennium-old tradition typical of Puglia with its distinctive grain patterns.
All materials used in the construction of the house are natural. Lime-based resin flooring for the interiors and for the kitchen and bathroom coverings, while stone is used for the exterior flooring. The external fixtures, two large sliding glass doors that open up to the landscape, are made of thin-profiled minimalist iron.
The project has been published on Archello, showcasing its architectural features and design.
